Workplace Noise and Vibration Surveys

Assessing, monitoring and reviewing noise and vibration exposure to your employees is required by law.
We are able to conduct both noise and vibration surveys on all of your equipment. Once the results have been collated we will work with you to produce a Management Plan to ensure that you are compliant . Ensuring that you have carried out these assessments and are managing the risks not only ensures compliance but will help defend any personal injury claims.

Policies

Working with you to understand how your business operates we will produce bespoke policies that reflect your business activities.
We are able to produce any policy that you require as a Company e.g. health, Safety and Welfare Policy, Environmental Policy, Equality and Diversity Policy.
We are also able to review these on a regular basis and update as and when required, whether this is due to a change in legislation or changes within your business.

Fire Safety

As the responsible person you must carry out and regularly review a fire risk assessment of the premises. This will identify what you need to do to prevent fire and keep people safe. You must keep a written record of your fire risk assessment if your business has 5 or more people

We will carry out a thorough inspection of your workplace and will provide a Fire Risk Assessment. The Assessment will advise the control measures and training requirements needed to lower any potential risk of fire.

We are able to fulfil your company’s requirements with regards to emergency planning; e.g. emergency signage, fire exit signage, fire action notices, fire equipment (including evacuation assembly points) and much more.

Display Screen Equipment Assessment

DSE is now one of the most commonly used types of work equipment.
Prolonged use of computer workstations and display screen equipment (DSE) can lead to neck, shoulder, back or arm pain, along with stress, fatigue and temporary eyestrain.
We are able to carry out DSE Assessments for all types of business and offer expert advice to ensure compliance and well being of your employees.

Work Related Stress

According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) , 49% of all working days lost were reported as being due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety.
Carrying out a stress risk assessment is a good way of tackling workplace stress before it becomes a more substantial issue.
Working to the HSE Management Standards we are able to offer assessments for all employees and provide you with an in-depth report that outlines any issues or areas for improvement.

SSIP Accreditation- CHAS etc

CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor are the main SSIP Health and Safety Pre-Qualification schemes. Many Companies will require you be accredited by one or more of the SSIP Schemes. However, for many businesses, these pre-qualification scheme applications can be a daunting and time consuming prospect.
We are able to assist you with all necessary work and resources to complete your application and to help you to become registered quickly letting you get on with what you do best.
Unlike other organisations providing a similar service, all applications for assessment will be completed by our own Health and Safety experts with ongoing safety support throughout the process until your application has been accepted.

Anyone engaging contractors has health and safety responsibilities, both for the contractors and anyone else that could be affected by their activities. EMS are able to assist you in ensuring that all Contractors that you engage are adequately trained, competent and have all the legal health and safety documentation that is required of them.
Initial Health and Safety Assessments and ongoing monitoring will ensure that you have shown due diligence should the worse happen.
